Biography

I am a Bioinformatician skilled in Web development (HTML5, CSS, PHP, JavaScript, Drupal), Database Management (MySQL), NGS (genome, amplicon, & metagenome) and statistical data analysis (R and Python). I am working as a Technician 'C' (Bioinformatics) at NCCS, Pune. The work includes NCMR website development, microbial culture database management and NCMR services (genome & amplicon analysis). We have developed MicFunPred, a tool to predict microbial functions based on 16S rRNA sequence data in a more conservative way.

Apart from research, my interest is in growing plants (especially orchids) and book reading.
